400 Community Members Attend Member Appreciation Day

Over 400 community members attended the Lakota Federal Credit Union’s annual Member Appreciation Day. The event also marked the Credit Union’s 7th anniversary of receiving their charter from the National Credit Union Administration. People who attended enjoyed freshly grilled hamburgers, cupcakes, and pop served up by Credit Union staff.

“While the primary purpose of this event is to express our gratitude for our members, it also helps us stay connected to the community,” says Shayna Ferguson, Branch Manager of the Lakota Federal Credit Union. Ferguson says they’ll use feedback gathered by event attendees to develop or enhance products and services to best serve the community.

In addition to the meal, the Credit Union also held a drawing to give away several items, including 95 t-shirts and caps, a grill, pool, blue tooth speakers, a mini fridge, and more. A list of all the winners can be found on the Credit Union’s Facebook page.

“We are so grateful to have strong support from the community and were glad to see some new faces,” says Ferguson. “There were so many people and we had so many things going on, that we wished we could have spent more time visiting with people.”

Ferguson invites community members who want to know more about the credit union to come in and visit with the staff.
